MNRE has sent a proposal to all
States for development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar power projects. This
proposal is envisaged to achieve development of One lakh MW of solar projects in
the country. Under this scheme for development of solar Parks in Karnataka, a JV
company “M/s. Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Ltd (KSPDCL)” has
been formed by KREDL and SECI. 11,000 acres of land has been identified at
Pavagada Taluk in Tumkur District, Karnataka for this purpose.
After entering into lease agreements with land
owners, turnkey tenders will be floated by KSPDCL for creating infrastructure
like Road, Water, Layout along with 8 Nos. of 220/66 kV pooling stations to
evacuate the power generated by the solar developers. The work will be executed
through eligible EPC contractor.
It has been envisaged to develop 8 blocks of
250MW with minimum of 50MW capacity. Plots will be allotted through bidding to
eligible solar developers for installing their panels under plug and play model
and generate power.
The power generated at the Solar Park will be
evacuated to the Central Grid by M/s.POWERGRID by constructing 400/220kV
station. The LTA and Grid connectivity applications have been submitted by
KSPDCL to M/s.POWERGRID for according approval to evacuate the power generated
at Solar Park to CTU grid.
